Our tour group Sino Odyssey arranged our restaurant dinner tonight – a local place on the Jinji lake.
This place of tranquility is in stark contrast to the hustle and bustle of the markets and Shanghai streetscape. Trees and gardens are over 100 years old and with waterfalls and rock features lining the pathways you could really relax here – if it wasn’t so hot😃 can’t complain – we have heard how chilly it is in back home!
So far it has been a awesome opportunity!😀😀😀😀😀😀what have we done?
we will start at day three.we went to the yen garden.China is hot and stuffy.
Day four. Well we are going to Suzhou it is going to take a couple of hours.in Suzhou it is going to be cold. (22c)
tomorrow night I am going to stay at daisy house!
The thing I am most uncomfortable about is the one legged and one armed man who begs for money. I really don’t like it!!!!!!!!!
I love China but its to busy and hot. It’s amazing here. we are leaving to go to Suzhou In a couple of minutes and I think it’s suppose to be wet and cold. I’m excited to see Linda and her family I think it would be really fun. The drive to Suzhou will be about 2 hours ( how boring )👎👎 this is a great opportunity for all the people that got on this trip and I hope they have been enjoying his fabulous trip so far.👍👍👍👍👍 yesterday Oakley and I were walking next to jake because we thought we were going to see he one hand man but when we were next to the hotel we saw a one legged man. the one legged man was laying on a skateboard rolling down the streets.
Love my family from Chelsea 🐼🐼🐼🐼🐼🐼🐼🐼🐼🐼🐼🐼🐼🐼
I have loved China so far. I have gone to the market and today everyone is going to Suzhou for their sister schools. I’m looking forward to going into an other school to see the differences in Chinese schools to Bendigo schools. I will be back in Shanghai on Thursday. While I’m in Suzhou I will go out for diner with Leo who I hosted in the 4th term last year.
This China trip has been extraordinary.
I like the Yu yuan gardens because it had a lot of gardens and it was neat and clean.Same of the gardens are like a 100years old there a lot of fish in the water and turtles. The buildings were like centuries old they were very neat and well design. A lot of the Chinese people want photos with us. After we finish we got lunch and it was awesome. Then we went shopping and I spent most of my money.
I have enjoyed everything so far and I couldn’t have asked for more. Everywhere I go there is a lot of people around and it is sometimes hard to stay with your group because of that. The thing I am most excited about is seeing Angel again and meeting her family. My favourite parts was the lit up river cruise and the pearl tower, when we were looking down at the glass floor. The glass floor wasn’t actually as scary as I thought it would be. The hotel here in Shanghai is very nice and I’m excited to see the hotel over in Suzhou! Last night Miss. Saddlier taught me how to use the shower, and since then I have been using the bath, but the shower is much better and easier. While i was having the shower last night, the water in the bath rose up to just under my knee. WOWZERS! We packed our bags and the rest of what had to go in our suitcases this morning and my bag is actually pretty light. I hope the stay in Suzhou will be as good as the stay I had in Shanghai!
Ok…. picture this. Walking through a park with an amazing array of umbrellas lined along the footpath. Is it a dance? A friendship group meeting together? Not quite. It is a speed date – messages on those umbrellas provided the details of the person’s son or daughter that they wish to marry off! Their age, height and weight details, are all advertised on the umbrella- if you are interested you need to approach the Chinese mother and start a conversation. Mmmmm……interesting 😀
