Our intrepid travellers have arrived in Beijing safe and sound and have been super busy on Day 1 seeing the sights. No down time at all by the sounds of it! Looking at the itinerary it really is jammed pack so there will be lots to tell😀 🇨🇳 🇦🇺
Ava, Will, Maddy, Tamika and Mrs Gloury had gone through customs at Tullamarine Airport and were snacking in the airport lounge at 6:15pm this evening. All excited, well and looking forward to boarding the plane.
Can’t wait to hear of their arrival in China.
Great excitement as we only have 2 days before Team China OSLE flies out!
We have our gifts ready for our sister school and for the students we are looking forward to seeing again.
So far it has been a awesome opportunity!😀😀😀😀😀😀what have we done?
we will start at day three.we went to the yen garden.China is hot and stuffy.
Day four. Well we are going to Suzhou it is going to take a couple of hours.in Suzhou it is going to be cold. (22c)
tomorrow night I am going to stay at daisy house!
The thing I am most uncomfortable about is the one legged and one armed man who begs for money. I really don’t like it!!!!!!!!!
I have loved China so far. I have gone to the market and today everyone is going to Suzhou for their sister schools. I’m looking forward to going into an other school to see the differences in Chinese schools to Bendigo schools. I will be back in Shanghai on Thursday. While I’m in Suzhou I will go out for diner with Leo who I hosted in the 4th term last year.
This China trip has been extraordinary.
I have enjoyed everything so far and I couldn’t have asked for more. Everywhere I go there is a lot of people around and it is sometimes hard to stay with your group because of that. The thing I am most excited about is seeing Angel again and meeting her family. My favourite parts was the lit up river cruise and the pearl tower, when we were looking down at the glass floor. The glass floor wasn’t actually as scary as I thought it would be. The hotel here in Shanghai is very nice and I’m excited to see the hotel over in Suzhou! Last night Miss. Saddlier taught me how to use the shower, and since then I have been using the bath, but the shower is much better and easier. While i was having the shower last night, the water in the bath rose up to just under my knee. WOWZERS! We packed our bags and the rest of what had to go in our suitcases this morning and my bag is actually pretty light. I hope the stay in Suzhou will be as good as the stay I had in Shanghai!
The Bund is a must see place in Shanghai. The esplanade along the river front is vibrant with activity and colour. By day you have a wonderful view of the city’s buildings and skyscrapers and by night it is a bedazzling sight to behold. We took a very LONG walk along the river side, ate an ice cream and basked in this glorious weather we are experiencing ……… Well I am – but the kids feel it is too hot! Well too hot to walk that is 😀
