These gardens are a sight to behold. Stunning- although the kids were probably tired by this stage . As Megan said ” I’m tired, hot and bothered!” So maybe the ancient gardens may have been lost on the kids but if ever visiting Suzhou then it is definitely a must do.
Well ….. grasshopper…. this is Mr Myagi here! Well not quite but we sure have it a go as we learnt some of the skills and drills of Kung Fu from one of the Top Chinese Masters – he has been learning his craft since 6 years old.
This afternoon Oakley, Chelsea, Megan and Harrison were all collected by their host families to spend the evening or overnight with them. This has truly been a success.

Our tour group Sino Odyssey arranged our restaurant dinner tonight – a local place on the Jinji lake.
Due to a very inclement day we changed our plans and decided to visit the Silk factory today. It was really interesting. We learnt about the life cycle of the silk worm and saw the silk factory workers turning cocoons into silk thread.
